The next one is an Easter card for my mother. My cartridges didn't have a lot of 'Easter' stuff on them, but I thought this came out cute.

Thoughts of Easter
Some simple little Easter projects that I worked on. The first one is a couple of little gifts for friends. They are little boxes with Easter candy inside and decorated on the outside. Simple and cute.....

Small Lap Quilt
Here's a small lap quilt that I did last year. I carry it in the car with me all the time and use it year round just to take a bit of the chill off when it's cold outside or the airconditioning is running. I love this pattern!

Quilting
I started on a quilt back sometime in January. It's all hand sewn together, no machine work on it anywhere. And I've finally got it to the quilting point......starting at the center.....
I found the pattern HERE and for the life of me, I can't remember the name of the pattern, but fell in love with it and started gathering my scraps together. I had enough to do the middle part, but had to buy additional yellow for the border and additional material for the backing. This fits a queen size bed so it's going to take me a while to get it done. Largest one I've made in a while.

I was 'Janet' yesterday!
You know how you have one of those friends that is just a 'born' shopper. She finds all the best things at the best prices!
Well, yesterday I was 'Janet'....and I was proud!
Hubby and I went to Hobby Lobby looking for a version of this machine and found one, but the box had been opened, probably used then returned. The nice lady said that I could bring it back if it didn't work. But in the mean time, Hubby says 'why not get this other machine, it's better.'
Did I mention that I had their weekly coupon for 40% off. Ssssoooo, I got this beauty, regular price $109.99 for $65. Saved $44. Bazinga!

Cards
These were fun, just playing around and getting ideas. Just some little cards that I will probably share with mom.....just little notes to share with friends.
New Project
So for my next project, it was my mother's 91st birthday and I thought I would put something together for her that she could take out and look at everyday and enjoy.
Front Cover
She loved it and looks at it daily!!
My First Cut
Ok, so this is my first cut with my new Cricut that hubby gave to me as an early birthday present.
I decided to make a valentine's card to send to my mother.
Then it was on to 3 more that were for my friends.
I didn't have any stamps so I just wrote with a pin that I had.
Then, I decided to do a quick little box.
Cute huh?
The New Cricut Expressions2
Here's the new machine
And after some tweaking I got it set up in a corner of the office
to use for now.
